Travelling is one of the most enriching experiences a person can have. It opens doors to new cultures, cuisines and ways of thinking. A great trip, though, starts long before you board the plane. Here is our step-by-step guide to planning your next adventure.
1. Choose your destination and purpose
Are you travelling for leisure, business, study or to visit family? Your purpose decides which visa type you need and which documents you must prepare. If you are not sure, book a free assessment and we will advise you.
2. Check visa requirements early
Some countries offer visa-on-arrival or e-visas to Nigerian passport holders, while others need an embassy appointment weeks in advance. Start at least 2–3 months before your travel date, and make sure your passport is valid for at least six months.
3. Set a realistic budget
Include flights, accommodation, travel insurance, visa fees, local transport, food and a buffer for emergencies. Booking flights early, and travelling outside peak season, can save you a lot.
4. Get travel insurance
Medical bills abroad can be very expensive. Travel insurance protects you against illness, cancelled flights and lost luggage, and many countries require it for a visa.
5. Prepare your documents
Keep printed and digital copies of your passport, visa, tickets, hotel bookings and insurance certificate. Share your itinerary with a family member.
Tip: Let HabtunikFly handle your flights, hotel, visa and insurance in one place, so nothing falls through the cracks.
